 It's here...!!! With great fanfare and ceremony, air services to Snowy Mountains Airport commenced on the 23 March with the inaugural flight from Sydney for REX flight ZL735 A traditional water cannon welcome was just the start of the celebrations and in the presence of VIPs and plenty of local dignitories a cake was cut and the first passengers made ready for the return flight. Chairman of Snowy Mountains Airport, Kevin Blyton said "The availability of regular year round flights to and from Sydney will provide an important link for the people of the Snowy Mountains" A special launch fare of just $99 one way has been made available and can be booked at www.rex.com.au Some conditions do apply.  REX Deputy Chairman, John Sharp; Member for Monaro, Hon. John Barilaro and Snowy Mountains Airport Chairman, Kevin Blyton cut the cake to welcome the new air service.

 The inaugural service by Rex into Snowy Mountains Airport is scheduled to land at 1.30pm this Wednesday 23 March.
The official launch of the service will be held at Snowy Mountains Airport with a ceremony attended by guests and VIP's. The full press release and flight schedule is here.  Services between Sydney and Snowy Mountains Airport will commence 23 March and to celebrate the launch, a special promotional fare is available on the Rex website for only $99 each way (plus a booking/services surcharge). Fare are subject to availability.
